Graph isomorphism restricted by lists

Abstract The complexity of graph isomorphism ( GraphIso ) is a famous problem in computer science. For graphs G and H, it asks whether they are the same up to relabeling vertices. In 1981, Lubiw proved that list restricted ListIso NP -complete: for each u ∈ V , we given L ⊆ H possible images u. After 35 years, revive study this consider which results can be modified solve . We prove: 1) Under certain conditions, GI -completeness class implies 2) Several combinatorial algorithms : trees, planar graphs, interval circle permutation bounded treewidth graphs. 3) -complete cubic colored with sizes color classes by 8 all lists size at most 3.

Graph Isomorphism Restricted by Lists
The complexity of graph isomorphism (GraphIso) is a famous unresolved problem in theoretical computer science. For graphs G and H, it asks whether they are the same up to a relabeling. In 1981, Lubiw proved that list restricted graph isomorphism (ListIso) is NP-complete: for each u ∈ V (G), we are given a list L(u) ⊆ V (H) of possible images of u. After 35 years, we revive the study of this pro...
متن کاملOn Graph Isomorphism for Restricted Graph Classes
Graph isomorphism (GI) is one of the few remaining problems in NP whose complexity status couldn’t be solved by classifying it as being either NP-complete or solvable in P. Nevertheless, efficient (polynomial-time or even NC) algorithms for restricted versions of GI have been found over the last four decades. Depending on the graph class, the design and analysis of algorithms for GI use tools f...
متن کاملFPGA Placement by Graph Isomorphism
FPGA placement and routing are still challenging problems. Given the increased diversity of logic and routing resources on FPGA chips, it seems appropriate to tackle the placement problem as a mapping between the nodes and edges in a circuit graph to compatible resources in the architecture graph. We explore utilizing graph isomorphism algorithms to perform FPGA placement. We use a hierarchical...
متن کاملGraph Isomorphism
While in general it is not known whether there is a polynomial time algorithm to decide whether two given graphs are isomorphic, there are polynomial-time algorithms for certain subsets of graphs, including but not limited to planar graphs and graphs with bounded valence. In this thesis, we will give a brief introduction on the Graph Isomorphism Problem and its relations to complexity theory. W...
متن کاملGraph Invariants and Graph Isomorphism
In graph theory, Graph Isomorphism is an important issue. Information in the database can be stored in the form of graph. Graph represents the structural information in an efficient way. Graph Isomorphism problem is to determine if there exists one to one correspondence between the structures of two graphs. Graph isomorphism problem arises in many fields such as chemistry, switching theory, inf...
